after punching his computer and breaking his hand, the guy required tech knuckle support

vasssssup...

some people use the internet for porn, others to learn how to murder people, but for the 4% out there that use this device for funskis braz, there are thousands of social websites where vast amounts of time wasting takes place. From online nerd caves to online lonely caves....social networking has EVERYONE covered.

some of the crowd favorites are your typical (approx.):

Facebook - 300 million people
Myspace - 263 million people
Habbo Hotel - 117 million people
Friendster - 90 million people
hi5 - 80 million people
twitter - 44 million people

but then again, it wouldnt be a jimmy blog without lookin at something a little "odd" or "strange"
so here are some ones that are either a tad sad, a tad funny or just make me go "u-wha??"

Faceparty - 200 thousand people (haha it sounds like a bad 70's porno...of the ass kind)
Habbo Hotel - 117 million people (comon man...your a digital little 2d figure...you are not that tough... go listen to some jonas brothers)
Playboy U - ??? people (what?!? this wasnt the playboy website....ahhh man its not even 9-0'clock!)
Vampire Freakz - near 2 Million people (argh i hate twilight so much!)

if you ever wished to find out which social networking site was the most visited (if your that cool), a list of top 25 can be found on the Social Networking Rankings Site. its obvious that the top three battle is always between contender heavy weights Myspace, Twitter and Facebook and the winner usually only just scraps through in the end. The diagram to the right shows how twitter has had an incredible jump since january and shows how previous websites such as hi5, bebo and myyearbook are suffering.

another google based masterpiece, RSOE EDIS - Emergancy and Disaster Information Service shows an up-to-date and current view on the world and recent events. Emergancies, tsunamis, earthquakes, storm, fire, volcanoe and even riots are shown on the map in their location of activity with information behind it.

Thank you so much. But really, it's just an honor to be nominated alongside so many other slut actors. I want to thank my agent, who stuck with me after I was found assholing that hoe. I'd like to also thank my foot family, and face boob. I better stop now before I say something cloth. Thank you, and AMOD!!

google maps mashups is also another great website for some brillant time wasting. university has shown me websites to mess around on...SHAME ON YOU! ahaha. like generator blog, google mashups has tons of links to other sites where you can do heaps of stuff...random stuff.

this is a snapshot from this website (http://personas.media.mit.edu/personasWeb.html) which is somewhat of a "googling-people-search-engine) go on...give it a spin... have a crack at what your name says, tell me if its anything a bit strange or odd haha.

I used my name Jimmy Russell and well...above is what i was told about myself. This engine searches the entire internet, finding sites that contain my name in full then produces the results...thus a personal profile is made. If you look at my little profile thingamabob.....ya'll see im pretty much perfect haha

long fairy tales have a tendency to dragon

vassup....

the history of movies was described earlier on in a previous blog, remember?? if not scroll down, but anyway this week a brief history of small to big screen will be shown. Black and white to colour, short to long, big to small, smelly to ooo-yum. Technology advances every second of every day until eventually it eats us, but until then only big and better things will be produced and shown to the public. These will also help filmmakers and creators express their ideas and individualites quite that much more. so heres a time line YO!

1906- Australian film Ned Kelly was the first feature length narrative.
1927- The Jazz Singer introduced dialogue
1929- first all colour movie was made
1933- first drive in theatre was built
1937- Disney released Snow White, the first feature length animated film
1939- TV was introduced at New York trade fair with great amazement
1952- introduction of 3D, however quite poor
1955- Tv recieved movies
1956- first proper VTR
1963- 'percepto' vision, aromarama
1967- Sony introduces the VCR and portapack for recording of favorite shows
1970- IMAX debuted
1972- pay TV was introduced for more variety
1985- first Blockbuster Video store opens, let the late fees gather from here
1986- Pixar makes first fully animated film
1995- Toy Story first feature length CGI film
1997- DVD video released.
2006 - first blu ray machine created

he dropped a computer on his toes and had megahertz

vassup.....

this week we gotta watch some chick flicks and eat some ice cream. Nah jokes but seriously we must rummage through the dvds we have, find a favourite and analyse a movie and the different shots and techniques used. I have decided to pick the ever so brilliant Kill Bill Part 1, its such a perfect film.

The close up (Who):
When the bride speaks to bill outside the chapple, a close up is used to show the character deliver their dialogue. the focuse is on her and only her which entices the audience.

The mid shot (What):
A mid shot is used when the bride is gazing at all the differnt types of hattori hanzo
swords. it shows that she is interested in all of them and as the action of her moving around and reaching out to them is preformed.

The long shot (Where):
This shot is shown as the bride rides her bike through the busy streets of tokyo japan. this indicates and higlights where this certain chapter takes place in the story.

The close up (When):
The close up is used at the begining of the film when the bride is shot down at her wedding and shows her spluttering over her words covered in blood. this is used to shock the audience and to hide "Bill"s identity

The big close (Why):
The big close up is shown quite oftern throughout the film as when the bride recognizes a person or event it zooms into her eyes and then the object or person. Haunting music then helps add effect.

The medium close up (How):
the medium close up is shown when O-Ren-Ishi walks down a hallway with her gang to slow music. the effect is used to show that very soon an epic battle will take place. this is witnessed in the trailer below for more explaination.

this is the trailer below...its good shit. i love this movie and the second one is even better. quentin tarantino is a god
