long fairy tales have a tendency to dragon

vassup....

the history of movies was described earlier on in a previous blog, remember?? if not scroll down, but anyway this week a brief history of small to big screen will be shown. Black and white to colour, short to long, big to small, smelly to ooo-yum. Technology advances every second of every day until eventually it eats us, but until then only big and better things will be produced and shown to the public. These will also help filmmakers and creators express their ideas and individualites quite that much more. so heres a time line YO!


1906- Australian film Ned Kelly was the first feature length narrative.
1927- The Jazz Singer introduced dialogue
1929- first all colour movie was made
1933- first drive in theatre was built
1937- Disney released Snow White, the first feature length animated film
1939- TV was introduced at New York trade fair with great amazement
1952- introduction of 3D, however quite poor
1955- Tv recieved movies
1956- first proper VTR
1963- 'percepto' vision, aromarama
1967- Sony introduces the VCR and portapack for recording of favorite shows
1970- IMAX debuted
1972- pay TV was introduced for more variety
1985- first Blockbuster Video store opens, let the late fees gather from here
1986- Pixar makes first fully animated film
1995- Toy Story first feature length CGI film
1997- DVD video released.
2006 - first blu ray machine created
